Cycas revoluta
Also known as the sago palm, this cycad is a very hardy plant. Featuring dark green foliage, it will grow in most conditions, and is ideal for recreating that tropical resort ‘look and feel’ in the garden.
Cultural
Grows best in part shade areas in loamy soil with good drainage. Ensure good watering in hot weather, especially if in containers. Fertilise in summer. A slow grower so have some patience.
Landscape Uses
This palm like plant is stunning as a specimen or mass planting for tropical effect. Ideal for around pools and works especially well in decorative containers highlighting it's sculptural form.
